Antique Milliners Hat Block on brass stand

Antique French Hat Makers wooden hat block circa 1920/30 on brass stand. The stand was purpose made to fit the block and is made of solid brass so it is very heavy. Milliners would use the block as a tool to steam and sew hand made hats over. Fantastic sculptural item with wonderful patina for displaying your favourite hat or headpiece.
