Lovely antique Reeves & Sons "Pen Painting Materials Set A" art box. The set includes tubes of paint, a mixing medium, a palette (cracked and repaired), and a calligraphy pen with additional nibs. No key.
 
Reeves & Sons was a renowned London-based manufacturer of artists' color supplies. The lid features an intricate trade label inside the lid, depicting their trademark greyhound crest. Such antique boxes were highly popular in the 18th and early 19th centuries for drawing, painting and outdoor sketching.
